Application process from A to Z: How to do it without any consultant. Search universities: Google ‘list of Spanish universities’ or ‘list of Spanish engineering universities’. Please do not ask me the names as I cannot tell you what is best for you.
Explore websites: I cannot emphasize it enough. Please spend at least three hours on the website. Visit the programs, admission criteria, etc. You will find everything written on their websites so this must be your main source of information. Also, check the language of instruction as many Masters are only offered in Spanish.
Choose the program: After you have explored all the programs and you like one Master, you should check its fee. Normally Spanish Masters are not very expensive as compared to other Western countries. Does everything seem good? You are ready to apply.
Apply: Applications are most of the time online. If not, you can apply by emailing all the documents. For more details please consult the website of the particular university in which you are applying. The application phase is February- May every year.
Acceptance: Once you are accepted, you will be provided with all the documentation from the university including the invitation letter.
Visa: Getting a Spanish visa is not that difficult. Just make all the documents ready. To read about the documents required to apply for a Spanish study visa. Please visit http://www.intiana.com/inner_
Fly: Received the visa? Well done you did it. Time to fly to the beautiful señoritas of Spain.
PhD: Find supervisors: Read papers in your field. Find a professor or research group working in your field through papers or just by Google. You can visit the websites of different research groups or just visit the profiles of professors. Please only contact professors if the work you did in the past is somehow relevant to their work.
Explore websites: Find the relevant PhD programs on the website of the university. Other details like tuition fees and funding opportunities etc. You should know these details before contacting your supervisor.
Email him/her: Write a nice email. Tell him how you liked his paper and you are interested in that particular Ph.D. program of his university.
Conversation: You have to impress him. Not by telling how awesome you are but by showing him. Professors love to hear some technical stuff so yeah mention to them what you wanna do. Be specific. Do your homework before writing anything. If you impress him enough, they are gonna fund your PhD. Professors have a lot of projects in Spain, especially in big and famous universities.
Acceptance: Once you are accepted by the supervisor, you will have to apply for Matricula (Enrolment). Most of the time you can do it online. If not, you can request them to do it via email. This happens twice a year. (September-October) or (February-March)
Visa: After enrollment, you will receive the documentation from the university including an invitation letter. Just have all the documents ready. To read about the documents required to apply for a Spanish study visa. Please visit http://www.intiana.com/inner_
